What is covered by your insurance?

We hope that you never have to call on our insurance policy - but it's there as back up for extra peace of mind!

Our insurance covers:

• Public liability

• Emergency vet bills for accidental injury

• Transport of animals 

• Loss or theft of key

• And much more!

We believe the most important aspect is that your pet is covered, so our insurance was built with that in mind. Underwritten by one of the world's largest insurance providers, our insurance covers emergency vet fees as well as third party costs.

Please note that only bookings made through our site will be covered by our insurance, and certain carers will be covered by the Tailster Insurance policy. This will be made clear next to their quotes or on their profiles. 

If an accident does occur please get in touch as soon as possible. Some claims will not be accepted if a long period of time passes before we are notified. 

Please be aware there is a £100 excess fee. This should be split 50/50 between the pet owner and carer unless the carer is clearly at fault and then they will be responsible for the total excess.  Any vet bill under this amount will not be submitted.
