How can I pay my carer?
We want life to be easy and safe for pet owners when finding a carer on Tailster.
You are able to pay by card to your carer- you can choose this option when you press the book button for the carer you wish to book.
When paying by card, we'll first check your wallet balance before charging your card. Any funds in your wallet will automatically be used and the remainder will be collected from your card.
You can top up your wallet via the 'My wallet' tab and we'll use this to pay for your pet care. If you top up certain amounts, we'll give you extra spend on pet care because we're nice like that. The more you top up, the more you'll save.
Please note that we recommend payment by card or via your wallet - as we hold on to your funds until you return from your holiday, or simply charge your card or wallet every week when walks have taken place.
If you do want to pay by cash, please ensure that the booking is still confirmed on Tailster.
Failure to notify us will mean we cannot assist, no insurance is in place, and also the carer is breaching their duties to tailster in using the site. If a carer asks you to go direct, they are going against the Tailster rules and we would like you to tell us so we can make sure it is booked in correctly.
We'll nudge you along the way to remind you what options there are for payment - going direct with a carer offers no benefits to you as the owner, and we'd like to be made aware if a carer requests you do this - as they are breaching their terms and conditions with Tailster - and we're a platform built on trust, and they are potentially putting your pet at risk.
