Tailster Carer Stats - all you need to know
We love our data here at Tailster - we use it and collect lots of feedback about our carers to decide how we rank them, and how we reward carers that offer great service to customers, and play by the rules.
The image above is visible on your dashboard here, where we tell you some stats to help you see how you're performing, how you can improve and how you can become the best pet carer in your area.
What does the ranking mean and how does it benefit you?
When you quote on listings, we use the ranking to show how you display on the listing for the pet owner in order of popularity and ranking. If there's multiple quotes, the higher ranked quotes are more likely to get a message from the owner to arrange a meet and greet.
We also display to the owners your stats for the last 6 months on quotes and on your profile so that pet owners can see that you're busy looking after pets and offering great service to pet owners.
Reviews and ratings are a great way to boost your ranking - if we see people are happy enough to leave you great reviews, then pet owners are more likely to get in touch with you. If you've had lots of happy customers outside Tailster, here's an opportunity to bring all that review goodness in one place.
If you're in the top 10 in your area, we'll give you a TOP 10 badge on your profile so you can shout how great you are off the rooftops.
Your profile allows you to finally show off how often you're taking care of pets with verified care by Tailster (please note this can and should include your own clients too).
Share this on social media, tell your friends, tell others that they can book you through your profile - we of course help you with the coverage of insurance, online payments and all the other great tools we've built to help you manage your pet sitting clients.
Why are you showing me the other information on the stats - what do they mean?
Your Tailster rank could change daily as you're rewarded for demonstrating the right behaviour and trending towards becoming a better carer.
We like carers to be active - seeking to help out potential clients - hence why we show you how many quotes you made in the last 14 days, and guide you to being able to find new clients 24/7 (in only the way Tailster can let you do that).
Bookings - the more bookings you have on the site, the better - we all have to start somewhere - you may have clients outside of Tailster, now's the time to bring them onto one platform to make life easier.
Be responsive to pet owners and also be responsive to us when we're checking in on how bookings are going - we're here to lend a helping hand and get you those clients booked in.
Make sure you book in clients through the site - your contact to booking score demonstrates your ability to win clients on Tailster and get them booked in. We look at your rate of when details are exchanged and when they are booked in. It may be tempting to just take a client outside of the site, thats not fair on Tailster nor on the other carers that do things by the book. A low score may also just mean that meet and greets are not going to plan, or there are other areas for improvement. This score will likely change regularly as you quote on more clients and win more bookings, as well as bring your own clients on to the platform. This will allow you to soar up the rankings, and win more clients in the process. This is the one score you are completely in control of - and we're using this to compare you with all the other carers in your area.
But this is not fair - I've just joined Tailster or my score from the past is not great?
Don't worry - the ranking rewards good behaviour - the more good things you do more recently and from now on, the more emphasis versus historic data. We want to be able to let pet owners know who the best carer for them is today, not what might have been 4 years ago.
Quote on listings, win more bookings, add reviews, bring clients into the platform and you'll soon see the daily change in the rankings.
We want to reward you for being great carers, it's why we've paid well over £10m to carers at no up-front cost to them - and why we've also removed carers from our platform that don't abide by the community rules and steal clients from others. Don't be that carer! :(
It's a level playing field for all carers when you join - there's plenty of potential clients on the site and we'd love for you to start earning and become one of the top carers in your area.
So am I unlikely to win any clients if I am not ranked in the top 10?
This is not the case - every pet owner is different and availability of carers is not the same. When you're quoting, it isn't just your rank, it's your price, your profile, the quotes you provide - the service you offer customers. We'll reward you throughout the process. All we suggest is that you do what you do - provide great customer service to pet owners and book through the site.
This is all useful, but I want to know more about how I can improve my ranking - gimme that top place!
Sure, just get in touch by email and we can have one of the team look at your profile and let you know what you can do to increase your client base, revenues and rankings - we're more than happy to help. We're more than happy to jump on a call to explain where we can help too.
